Greenwich Entertainment Acquires Clio Barnard’s ALI & AVA; Theatrical Release Set For Summer 2022

EXCLUSIVE: Greenwich Entertainment introduced right now the acquisition of U.S. distribution rights to Ali & Ava written & directed by BAFTA nominee Clio Barnard (Dark River, The Selfish Giant, The Arbor). The movie not too long ago gained two British Independent Film Awards, and was nominated for 5 further awards. Greenwich will launch the movie theatrically this summer season.

Starring Adeel Akhtar (Four Lions) and Claire Rushbrook (Ammonite), as Ali & Ava. Ali (Akhtar) is an exuberant music fanatic struggling to maintain his latest separation from his spouse a secret from his household. Ava (Rushbrook) is a practical middle-aged educating assistant and matriarch to a big and close-knit household. When an opportunity encounter unites them, Ali and Ava start a tentative friendship shaped round their shared love of music that rapidly blossoms into an sudden romance.

Greenwich’s Andy Bohn negotiated the acquisition with Altitude’s Mike Runagall and CAA Media Finance on behalf of the filmmakers.
