Meizu 18 With Snapdragon 870 And 888 is Coming on March 3rd

Chinese Smartphone manufacturer Meizu entered the consumer electronics industry in 2003 as an MP3 and MP4 player manufacturer. In 2008, the company shifted its focus to the smartphone industry and was able to make its mark in the budget-friendly handsets in China. This year, the company will turn 18 and it plans to celebrate it by dedicating three days to festivities. These will include the launch of a new UI, and a new smartphone series over a three-day holiday.

According to a recent teaser poster, the company will launch a documentary on 1st March. This will most likely encompass the company’s accomplishments over the years. On 2nd March, the Chinese company plans on launching the new Flyme 9 UI based on Android 11 while the Meizu 18 smartphone will break covers on 3rd March 2021.

Meizu 18 series officially arriving on March 3


Although the company is launching an all-new Android skin, according to recent leaks, the Meizu 18 phones will run an older Flyme 8.3 interface that is still based on the latest Google OS.

As far as other specifications of the upcoming Smartphones are concerned, the rumor mill suggests that the Meizu 18 will ship with the Snapdragon 870 SoC while the Pro model will be powered by the Snapdragon 888.

Furthermore, the listing of both smartphones on China’s 3C site revealed that the Meizu 18 will have a 4,000 mAh battery with 30W charging, while the Pro will have a 4,500 mAh cell and 40W charging. However, neither of the handsets will ship with a charger in the box.
